志を絶やさず

スティーブ・ジョブズが、スタンフォード大学での卒業式スピーチの最後に語った言葉があります。

“Stay hungry, stay foolish.”
― ハングリーであれ。愚かであれ。

この言葉は、彼の創造と革新の哲学を象徴するものとして、今も世界中の人々の胸に刻まれています。
それは、成功や安定に満足せず、常に未知への好奇心と挑戦心を持ち続けるという、生き方そのものを表しています。

一方で、東洋にもこれと響き合う古い言葉があります。
中国の詩人・曹操が残した詩の一節――

烈士暮年、壯心不已（れっしぼねん、そうしんやまず）
老いても、志を失わない者こそ真の烈士である。

どちらも、人生の終わりを見据えながらも「なお前へ進もうとする心」を讃えています。
ジョブズは病と死を意識しながら、若者たちに「飢えと愚直さを持ち続けよ」と伝え、
曹操は老いの中で「志は決して止まらない」と自らを鼓舞しました。

時代も文化も違いながら、この二つの言葉はひとつの真理を語ります。
それは――
人は、完成した瞬間から老いていく。
だからこそ、満たされない気持ちと志を持ち続けることが、生きるということ。

私たちは、この精神を胸に、現状に安住せず、挑戦を恐れず、
常に新しい価値を生み出す存在でありたいと考えています。

烈士暮年、壯心不已。

満たされない気持ちを抱き続け、志を絶やさず。
それが、私たちの歩みの原点です。

Steve Jobs left the world with these unforgettable words:

They have come to symbolize his philosophy of creation and innovation—
a reminder never to be satisfied with success or comfort,
but to live with constant curiosity and the courage to challenge the unknown.

Long before Jobs, the same spirit was expressed in the East.
In an ancient Chinese poem by Cao Cao, we find these lines:

“Even as the hero grows old, his noble heart never ceases.”
(烈士暮年，壯心不已 – liè shì mù nián, zhuàng xīn bù yǐ)

Both expressions honor the spirit of continuing to move forward, even while standing at the edge of life.
Steve Jobs, aware of illness and death, urged young people to “stay hungry, stay foolish.”
Cao Cao, facing old age, encouraged himself with the belief that “one’s ambition never ceases.”

Different eras, different cultures—yet these two messages speak to the same truth:
A person begins to age the moment they believe they are complete.
That is why continuing to feel unfulfilled, and holding onto one’s aspirations, is what it truly means to live.

With this spirit in our hearts, we refuse to settle for the status quo, we do not fear challenge,
and we strive to be a company that continually creates new value.

To live is to remain hungry—to never let the flame of aspiration die.
